Problem Note 61326: The SASBusinessRulesManagerWeb web-application-server context might fail to start when upgrading from SAS® Business Rules Manager 3.1 to 3.2

During an upgrade from SAS Business Rules Manager 3.1 to 3.2, the 'SASBusinessRulesManagerWeb' web-application-server context fails to start.  The following errors might be displayed in various log files:

 

SAS® Deployment Wizard log file:

Application Server has started, however web applications with the following
contexts failed to start. Please refer to Application Server logs for more
details.

ERROR (localhost-startStop-1)

To work around the problem, perform the following steps:

  1. Remove sas.brm.midtier from Lev/Web/Temp/.
    rm -rf  Lev/Web/Temp/sas.brm.midtier
  2. Rebuild the 'SAS Business Rules Web Manager' web application.
  3. Redeploy the 'SAS Business Rules Web Manager' web application.
